Shadow
They thought she was alone,
Alone! Thriving in this world,
World, filled with strangers,
Strangers, who were once known.
But was she alone?
Sometimes, she was followed by one.
Sometimes, she was led by one,
And some other times, she had a companion.
Never all three showed up at once!
Looked like they took turns.
So, was she alone?
Or did she have someone?
Was there anyone??
She once got lost in the forest,
The forest had a small dark house,
House which had a witch,
Witch, who she thought was a fairy.
She found comfort with the fairy.
The fairy made it easy for her to see in the dark.
Now, no one to lead her,
None to follow!
The only companion she had didn’t show up.
Now all she had was the witch,
The witch who she thought was a fairy.
The small dark house was lost in the forest.
Should she settle now?
Or should she go back?
Should she choose another dark world over the one she previously had?
She made her choice, by the way!
She didn’t know it yet.
She stayed with the witch forever,
Trying to figure out the right place.
Little did she know about the spell the witch had cast!
To forever be in a dilemma.
Dilemma to choose between the two
Two very different, yet similar choices
Choices, which she thought were only two
There was another one!
The one which would set her free
That never occurred to her.
She stayed in the small dark house, lost in the forest.
Thinking about the best choice
Not knowing she had already made one!
